Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Alpha Kilian tore through the darkness, heedless of the danger that lay ahead in Nelly’s ward. Lara’s warning fell on deaf ears as he shoved her away, desperate to reach his destination.

Lara crumpled to the ground, shocked by Alpha Kilian’s forceful push. She called out, her voice filled with urgency and concern, “Alpha Kilian, you can’t go! It’s dangerous!”

But Alpha Kilian pressed on without hesitation, disappointment shadowing Lara’s face. However, the thought of him getting hurt propelled her back to her feet as she gave chase.

Thalia stepped in Lara’s path, sensing her intentions. “This is between them, don’t go messing it up,” she warned.

Lara studied Thalia, noting her unique beauty that stood out from Nelly’s. “Who are you?” she impatiently inquired.

“Just an average pretty woman,” Thalia replied, flashing a smile.

Lara had no interest in exchanging words with her. “Move!” she demanded, attempting to rush past Thalia. But Thalia persistently blocked her way.

“You-” Lara started, interrupted by Tony’s frantic ascent up the stairs. His short legs struggled to keep up with Thalia’s pace.

Reaching the top, Tony spotted Lara locked in a stalemate with Thalia. “Where is he?” he urgently asked.

“Alpha Kilian has gone in,” Thalia informed him.

Tony rushed past the two, heading straight for Nelly’s ward. Lara stood there, staring at Tony with a dazed expression.

That boy’s resemblance to Alpha Kilian is uncanny. He…

“Who is he?” Lara murmured.

Thalia smiled at her flashily. “He’s someone you can’t afford to offend.”

With that, Thalia caught up to Tony, walking toward Nelly’s ward. “Don’t worry. Alpha Kilian is there too. Nothing will happen to your mommy,” she assured.

Mommy?

Lara’s brain abruptly stopped working as realization hit her.

So Nelly not only has a daughter, but a son as well? They’re all…

Lara dared not delve further into that thought.

The lights in Nelly’s ward were off, casting a pitch-black atmosphere.

Silently, a figure slipped into her room, the faint corridor light barely illuminating his movements. Holding a knife, he stealthily approached Nelly’s bedside.

A cruel grin curled on the man’s lips before he plunged the knife into the bed, thinking he had struck his target.

But something felt amiss. The sensation was too soft.

Growing uneasy, he ripped the blanket open, only to find nothing underneath.

His pupils constricted as he sensed a presence behind him, but before he could react, Nelly had already attacked.

Being shorter in height, Nelly couldn’t strike his face, but her punch hit his sternum with force.

He grunted, taking a step back from the impact.

In the darkness, his eyes locked onto Nelly’s. “I didn’t expect you to know some-” he began.

“Who are you? Why are you trying to kill me?” Nelly questioned.

The man wore a hooded sweatshirt, obscuring his face from her view. She couldn’t identify him clearly, though his eyes gleamed in the dark. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Touching his chest, he suppressed the pain. “Want to know why? Come closer, and I’ll tell you.” He raised his knife, its glint menacing under the moonlight.

Nelly remained vigilant, her guard up. “I haven’t done anything to you. Why do you keep trying to harm me?”

“Done nothing to me? It’s your fault my brother is in jail! I wouldn’t be alone if it weren’t for you. I want revenge!”

Learning that it wasn’t a group of assailants after her and her parents provided some relief to Nelly.

In that moment, the man charged at her, brandishing his knife.

Agilely, Nelly dodged his attack.

The man, evidently trained in combat, refused to give up. He lunged at her again.

Toweringly tall, he attacked with ruthless aggression, but he lacked agility.

Nelly exploited his weak spots with each strike. However, during one of his kicks, his foot connected with her wrist.

Pain jolted through her bones, causing her to instinctively protect her injured hand.

Despite her subtle movement, the man caught it. From that point on, he directed his attacks towards Nelly’s wrist.

Nelly recognized his intelligence, despite his lack of professional assassin skills.

I need to distance myself from him. Continuing this fight now won’t end well.

Raising her knee, she aimed for his groin. The man managed to evade it partially, causing her kick to go slightly awry.

Nevertheless, the slight graze was enough to momentarily halt him. He doubled over in pain, clutching his groin.

Seizing the opportunity, Nelly made a beeline for the door.

As she twisted the doorknob, it refused to budge.

Fumbling with the lock under the dim ward lighting, Nelly struggled to pick it. It was her first time attempting such a feat, slowing her down.

Observing her, the man knew he had a chance. Suppressing the pain, he lumbered towards her.

Just then, Alpha Kilian appeared on the other side of the door, witnessing Nelly inside with the man wielding a knife. Panic engulfed him as he urgently twisted the doorknob, hoping to break the lock.

“Nelly!” he yelled, straining against the stubborn door.

In the nick of time, Nelly managed to open it. She had already crossed the threshold, but the man grabbed hold of her at the last second.

Alpha Kilian kicked the door open.

Taking in the sight of the man about to thrust his knife towards Nelly, Alpha Kilian shouted, “Gary, wait!”

As anticipated, the man paused, his gaze fixated on Alpha Kilian with confusion.

“Do you know me?”

Alpha Kilian attempted to appear nonchalant as he responded, “Of course. You’re Dave’s half-brother. Am I right?”

Gary sneered, pulling back his hood.

His unkempt hair obscured half of his face, making him look terrifying.

Cracking his neck with a wicked smile, Gary towered over Nelly, who appeared so small in his grip.

“Now that you know, I don’t have to hide anymore,” he declared.

Alpha Kilian glanced at Nelly, relieved to find no signs of injury.

Then, he composed himself, focusing on Gary. “I know you seek vengeance for Dave, but don’t you think you’ve targeted the wrong person?” he questioned.

“What do you mean?”

“I don’t know why you’re attacking her. What happened to your brother wasn’t her fault.”

“Impossible! It’s all her doing!”

“She’s just a woman. Your brother even drugged her. If I hadn’t intervened, do you think she could have escaped? Can someone like her send your brother to prison?”

Gary pondered for a moment, narrowing his eyes at Alpha Kilian. “It was you?”

Nelly looked at Alpha Kilian, wondering if he was attempting to divert attention to himself.

Alpha Kilian glanced at Nelly, then fixed his gaze on Gary. He nodded and admitted, “That’s right. It was me.”

Hatred burned in Gary’s eyes.

“I was the one who gathered all the evidence for your brother’s arrest. I handed it over to the police. Even at the hotel, it was me who attacked him,” Alpha Kilian revealed. “That’s why I’m telling you that you’ve got the wrong person.”

Nelly stared at him, concern etching her features. “Alpha Kilian, what are you doing?”

Gary tightened his grip on Nelly, shouting, “Shut up!”

Alpha Kilian watched as Gary grew more agitated, fearing he would harm Nelly.

“I’m the one you want, so come at me! Don’t you want to avenge your brother? Take me instead!” Alpha Kilian bravely approached them.
