Chapter 190
#190 “Stop It.”
As they arrived back home, Benjamin wasted no time in launching into his theatrics, feigning illness with such skill that even Alexander couldn’t help but feel a twinge of doubt. But as Sophia administered his medicine and changed his bandages, it became increasingly clear to Alexander that Benjamin was simply playing up his symptoms for attention.
Despite his frustration, Alexander bit back his annoyance, knowing that Sophia needed his support in dealing with her brother’s antics. But as the night wore on and Benjamin insisted on watching a movie together, Alexander felt his patience wearing thin.
“Maybe you should go to bed if you’re tired,” Benjamin remarked casually, his words laced with a hint of sarcasm.
But Alexander refused to back down.” I’ll stay,” he replied firmly, shooting Benjamin a pointed look.
Sophia, caught in the middle of the brewing tension, felt her frustration growing. She longed for the two most important men in her life to understand each other, but it seemed like they were only driving each other further apart.
Waiting for the right moment, Sophia finally decided to intervene. “Let’s just watch the movie, okay?” she said, her voice tinged with exhaustion.
With a nod from both men, Sophia pressed play, the soft glow of the TV illuminating the room as they settled in to watch the movie. But despite the calm facade, Sophia knew that the underlying tension between Alexander and Benjamin still simmered beneath the surface, waiting to boil over at any moment.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
Alexander took advantage of the movie wrapped his arms around Sophia and gently stroked her hair as they cuddled together on the couch.
Suddenly, Benjamin’s voice cut through the silence, breaking Sophia’s reverie as he asked her for a glass of water. Before she could respond, Alexander interjected, his tone tinged with a hint of annoyance. “You can get it yourself, Ben. It’ll be good for your recovery,” he remarked casually, his grip on Sophia tightening possessively.
Sophia felt a surge of frustration once again, her patience wearing thin as she struggled to maintain her composure. Without a word, she rose abruptly from her seat, her hand clasping Alexander’s as she pulled him along behind her.
“Come with me, now,” she whispered urgently.
Alexander grinned mischievously at Benjamin as he followed Sophia out of the room, a silent challenge passing between them as they disappeared from view. Once they were alone in the sanctuary of Sophia’s room, she wasted no time in closing the door behind them, her lips crashing against Alexander’s in a fervent kiss.
Their passion ignited like wildfire, consuming them both as they surrendered to the intoxicating rush of desire. Alexander’s hands roamed eagerly over Sophia’s body, his touch igniting sparks of pleasure that sent shivers down her spine. She melted into his embrace, her body molded to his as they lost themselves in the heat of the moment.
Alexander’s senses were overwhelmed by the intoxicating presence of Sophia. With every touch, every kiss, he felt himself slipping further into the depths of desire, his heart pounding with a fierce intensity that threatened to consume him whole. His fingers dug into her thighs, his grip desperate and possessive as he pulled her closer, craving the warmth of her body against his.
As Sophia’s lips trailed along his neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake, Alexander’s breath hitched in his throat, his mind clouded by a dizzying whirlwind of sensation. “I’m going crazy,” he murmured hoarsely, his voice barely audible above the pounding of his own heart.
Sophia smiled smugly and pulled away slightly from Alexander. Her gaze bore into his, her eyes filled with a mixture of longing and frustration as she demanded answers. “Will you stop this childish game with Benjamin?” she asked. “Is this proof enough for you that I only want you?”
For a moment, Alexander was silent, his mind racing as he grappled with the weight of Sophia’s words. Slowly, he reached out to gently cup her face in his hands. “What kind of demonstration was that?” he grinned.
“One that you obviously need to stop fighting with him. I’m only yours, Alexander. Get it in your head.”
“Okay, I’ll stop nagging him if you finish what you started,” retorted Alexander, a playful glint in his eyes.
Sophia smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting determination and affection.
“I have to talk to him first. He needs to know the truth about us being brother and sister. And then I’ll come back for you.”
“Do you want me to come with you?” Alexander offered.
“No need. I’d rather not make it any more awkward than it already is. Wait for me here.”
“Alright, deal,” he says, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “But I’ll be eagerly awaiting your return.”
“Oh, don’t worry. I won’t leave you hanging.”
As Sophia heads downstairs to talk to Benjamin, Alexander watches her go, a sense of satisfaction washing over him.
Sophia went downstairs and sat next to Benjamin.
“I wanted to talk to you,” she began, her voice soft yet determined.
But before she could continue, Benjamin interjected, his words tumbling out in a rush of desperation and longing. “I want to speak first. Sophia, I can’t bear the thought of seeing you with him. You and I have something special, don’t you see? I think you’re afraid to try with me and find out that I’m actually the one for you.”
Sophia’s heart sank as she listened to Benjamin’s plea. She knew she had to stop him before he made a mistake he would regret.
“Stop it,” she said, rising abruptly from her seat. “Hear me out.”
“Sophia, please…” Benjamin’s voice wavered with emotion, but she couldn’t afford to let sentimentality cloud her judgment any longer.
“No, Benjamin, I’m trying to tell you something,” Sophia insisted, her tone firm as she faced him head- on. “And there’s no easy way to do it, so I’m going to be direct. You and I are related by blood. My father is also your father.”
The words hung in the air between them, heavy with the weight of their implications. Benjamin’s expression shifted from confusion to disbelief, his eyes widening in shock as he struggled to understand the truth of Sophia’s revelation.
