Chapter 187 Michael Didn't Believe Her
Chloe was bewildered. The splash from Lucy's fall into the water soaked half of her dress.
It was a deep section of water. Watching Lucy struggling inside, Chloe was still somewhat dazed.
From behind her came the sound of hurried footsteps.
The next moment, Chloe's arm was knocked away forcefully. Michael jumped into the swimming pool without hesitation before he could even take off his captain uniform.
When submerging her head underwater, Lucy couldn't resist flashing Chloe a triumphant, provocative smile.
Chloe couldn't make a step, as if her feet had become firmly rooted to the floor.
She spotted Michael swimming quickly to Lucy, hugging her tightly in his arms and dragging her to the shore.
The two splashes into the water caught the attention of the nearby staff.
At the sight of Lucy and Michael in the water, they hurriedly squatted down to help Michael pull Lucy up.

However, upon seeing Michael rise from the swimming pool, water dripping from his body, she subconsciously attempted to explain, "Michael..."
She had just called his name when he turned around impatiently and scolded, "If you want to make a scene, wait until we get home."
Chloe felt like she had plunged into an icy cavern.
Michael didn't believe her.
As always, he stood by Lucy's side without any hesitation.
With that, Michael approached Lucy, crouched down, and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her.
After he repeated this several times, Lucy suddenly started coughing and vomited out all the water she had just drunk.
She opened her eyes, which were bloodshot.
"Michael, I was so scared. I thought I would never see you. again."
"Bring a clean towel over!"

Michael then glanced back, but the place where Chloe had just been was now emply.
He looked around but couldn't find her. "I'll take you to the hospital now."
He picked up Lucy and then left Paramount Airlines through the back door.
She wrapped her arms around his neck complacently.
Lucy mentioned that he would not just stand by and watch her being bullied.
She wondered, "Chloe, you lost to me again!"
Chloe, who had not walked far away and witnessed this scene, experienced a sharp pain in her heart.
She assumed she would have been indifferent by now.
But the facts slapped her in the face again and again.
Pedestrians on the street observed her distressed expression,

with half of her dress and hair damp, casting strange glances at
her.
Chloe didn't care about these.
Suddenly, she heard someone calling her name.
"Chloe!"
She came to her senses, turned her head, and spotted Rick sitting in the car with the window rolled down, watching her intently.
"Mr. Alfredson!"
"How come you're all wet? Where are you going? I'll give you a
ride!"
Rick's car came slowly beside her, matching her pace.
Chloe found it bothersome and waved her hands, indicating she was okay and that her clothes would dry soon.
But it was directly rejected by Rick.
"Even with the sun out, you'll catch a cold like this. I've got a set of clean clothes in the trunk. You can change into them."
