Divorcing 12
Chapter 12 Sarcasm
Chloe didn't bother to argue with Michael and tried her best to play her role well.
But in the eyes of Admas, they were whispering and caring for each other, which pleased him very much.
"Chloe, have you taken the medicine I sent you yesterday? Is it potent?"
Chloe paused. After taking the medicine back, she put it in the corner and forgot about it without taking it at all.
"Grandpa, she's only taken it for one day. It won't make any difference."
Michael's retort shocked Chloe.
But she quickly realized that this was what he should do. After all, it was because of him that she had been taking medicine for
so many years.
He had never spoken for her. However, when she asked for a divorce, he was at a loss and began to advocate for her.
"Oh, I am impatient. Forget it, Chloe. Apart from the pregnancy, it is for the sake of your health."
Chloe nodded and buried her head in her meal, only wishing to

leave as soon as possible.
She didn't want to continue acting in this scene for even at second longer!
Everyone was eating when Ben, who had not arrived yet, suddenly emerged from the living room and said, "Sorry, I'm late."Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Actually, Ben, Michael's uncle, was only seven years older than him and was in his thirties, which was the prime of a man's life.
Thanks to the strong genetic traits of the Shawn family, Ben possessed a mature charm, despite not being as cold and handsome as Michael.
He took off his handmade Isolrian coat and apologized to Admas before sitting down in exhaustion at the only empty seat at the dining table.
Michael, who had always been at odds with Ben, sneered, "Ben, you're late for the annual family gathering. Some people might misunderstand that Bano Group is incredibly busy and is an international enterprise."
Ben's company naturally paled in comparison with the Shawn family's business and had not yet developed the international market.
What Michael said was nothing more than sarcasm.
Ben was not angry. He scooped a bowl of soup. "I have been

really occupied these past few days. The company's firewall has finally been installed, which took me a lot of effort."
He admitted it openly and deliberately alluded to Michael.
They both knew who had planted the mole.
Watching Michael in his rare moments of embarrassment, Chloe couldn't help but feel somewhat delighted.
Immediately, Michael put down the tableware and said coldly that he was full.
Noticing that Chloe had stopped cating, he glanced at everyone and said, "Grandpa, we're going home now."
Admas frowned. "It's still early."
For fear that Michael, in a rage, might upset Admas, Chloe. quickly took his arm. "Admas, we should go back and see if the new medicine you gave us is working!" She smiled tenderly, but everyone understood what she meant.
Victoria glanced at Chloe and muttered that she was shameless, thinking it was really uncultured of her to talk about such things openly.
Admas beamed with joy and waved at Michael and Chloe. "Okay. Hurry up and be careful on the road!"
After exiting the manor, Chloe instantly let go of Michael's hand

and kept her distance from him, as if they were not very close to each other.
Michael assumed the Shawn family's remarks irritated her. "Don't take their words too seriously."
He had no idea of her being bullied before. Yet, now it was different, and he would naturally protect her to the best of his ability in the future.
"After the divorce, I won't care about it."
With a cold face, Chloe got into the car first.
Seeing Michael standing still, she glanced up at him and asked, "Aren't you leaving?"
They came here in the same car today. She wanted to leave by herself, but the Shawn Manor was situated halfway up the mountain, making it challenging to hail a taxi. Michael got into the car furiously. The atmosphere became quite
tense.
As soon as they reached the foot of the mountain, Chloe said, "Just drop me off on the side of the road."
She hadn't bought a house yet and thus needed to return to Candy's residence.
Michael tugged at his tie in frustration. "How long are you going to live in Glory Villa?"

He wondered what had caused her such exasperation.
