A Girl’s Diary

Chapter 45 - What The Hell? I'm In Hell

Chapter 45 - What The Hell? I'm In Hell

The clock stopped ticking.

The world stopped moving.

No one breathed.

The jumping kid faraway paused mid-jump...

Okay, I was being dramatic now! But I meant it, it felt like my whole world stopped.

"Hey," I waved a small wave. "Sorry, but can I steal Tommy for a sec," I pinched my fingers together,

giving Tommy something more surreal than a death glare.

He smiled awkwardly and we both took a few steps away from everyone. If anyone saw this scene,

they'd think we were pretending to be ninjas or something!

"What the fuck?" I hissed crossing my arms.

He rolled his eyes. "First of all-"

Oh hell no! He wasn't about to do this. Not on my watch! "Don't try to convince me this is a normal

situation and I'm overreacting." I narrowed my eyes.

He sighed. "Twinkle, we don't want unwanted attention, remember." He whispered making me clench

my fists. We couldn't really cause a commotion in a place like this... again! "Anyways wasn't Desmond

your boyfriend?"

If this was a cartoon, you'd see smoke going out of my ears, that was how furious I was. "Your point?"

"You were the one who broke it up."

"So?" I knew I was acting difficult, but really I was so tired of not being told anything. Everyone thought

they knew what was best for me. Well, guess what?! I decide what's best for me!

"So, why are you mad now?"

I narrowed my eyes more. He knew why and I wasn't about to give him the satisfaction of being right or

whatever.

He groaned. "Elena."

"Fine." I felt like scolding him. "I'm calm so tell me why the fuck should I stay here or I'll kick your

pathetic little ass." I smiled innocently.

He started murmuring so I wouldn't hear him, his brows were pinched together, he was rolling his ring

over his finger... that was how I know he didn't want to confess whatever bomb he was about to throw.

"I talked to my dad about the notes..."

"WHAT?!!!" My heart raced. This couldn't be true. We said we'd never mention them again. Now, my

whole family will know and I... I can't leave. Not again. Not after everything. Not after I got all those

friends here. Not after... I sighed heavily.

He scratched his neck awkwardly "We had to do something, Eli!" He huffed. "Look, this guy there at our

table was our only option as a guard. He's young enough to pass as a student so he can protect us

24/7, especially you."

I raised a brow. "He's three years older, you idiot."

"Yes, true but he can still do the job," He put his hands on my shoulders looking deep into my eyes.

"You just got out of an accident! Also, he can be our hot undercover bodyguard, you should see him

training!" He winked making me shove his arms away!

Tommy, always the voice of reason! I hate him so much but I really love him. Did that make any sense?

No? I thought so too!!

"No shame. You freaking have no shame." Since we were little kids, Tommy would literally crush on

anything that moved. Pretty obvious who was the popular one!!

I stomped back to our table just because I can act like an angry child. You may be wondering who

exactly was that... well... that was a one hell of a long story!

However, the short version was: I had a crush on him and tried to impress him for who knew how long

until he noticed me... more like my parent's money and then we dated. I met Aurora and had to be the

mysterious Cinnamon. I wasn't going to break up with him until I found him talking to one of the football

jocks about how he was dating me to make his ex jealous. I broke up with him and to be honest, it was

for the best; I had to focus on my career.

"Hey!" I smiled confidently. I was really glad I wore what Tommy got me! At least I wouldn't look like a

wreck in front of him.

"Hello," He greeted back, glancing at Tommy. "Nice to see you again." His eyes wandering towards me

again. "I hope our past relationship won't affect our current agreement." He held his hand out for me to

shake.

I put my hand in his. "I know how to be professional." We ordered our coffee and discussed our plans.

Apparently, uncle Cody called the school and enrolled Desmond so now he had the same classes as

me and Tommy! Yay! After classes, Tommy and Desmond would hang out near the field while cheering

practice. I could imagine how awkward this would be.

The next day wasn't really a school day. I managed to sneak out without Desmond or Tommy because

of my awesome ninja skills. There was a big game which was a big deal. The whole school was

decorated in the team's colors, tou could feel the excitement buzzing off in the air. It was marvellous! Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

We were waiting for our team's name to be announced every cheerleader would enter the field beside

a football player. I was unfortunately standing next to the star player AKA assholic-Louis.

"A shame really I don't get a better looking player!" I murmured loud enough for him to hear. Why?

Easy answer really. Just for the heck of it!

"I think you got the best one out there," He replied flexing his muscles. "It should be me who wants

another cheerleader." He smirked.

I scoffed. "And by 'another' you mean Alice." He was about to reply but the show had to begin.

However, I couldn't always be so lucky with sneaking out. Tommy woke up the following day and

literally waited outside my door. Creepy stalker!

We had a big fight because I wanted to drive my car and go alone but no, Tommy had to make a big

deal out of it. So, I had to agree we would go together which was only a tiny lie. The moment he went

to fetch his keys, I sprinted to my car and left them both behind. I had to get some privacy even if it was

a 15-minute ride.

Note to self: Never ever dream of privacy if you were going to school... especially if you had a friend

like Sky.

Thank God I had a full day with no free hours. Sky tried to talk about he-who-shall-not-be-named but I

brushed it off. I didn't want to think about him. Out of sight out of mind, right? No. So not true.

Every second during each and every lesson, I found my thoughts drifting back to him. I was utterly in

love with him that I wanted to forgive him, even after everything that happened. Maybe I was a stupid

girl after all.

Even during lunch break with all the drama happening, I couldn't get him out of my mind. My heart was

aching so much that I just wanted to hide in a corner but I had to be strong. Even if I didn't feel strong,

fake it till you make it.

Oh, what drama you were asking? Imagine a table with Mr. sexy ex watching your every move while

girls flirted with him. Gross. Also not any of my business. I made small talk with people on our table

every now and then but I wasn't really interested. It felt better to just listen to their bickering...

"Elenaaa!!!" I blinked. "Can I talk to you?" I turned to Louis and nodded. He got out of his chair so I

followed him. I really wanted to get out of there anyway.

I got lost in my own mind again that when Louis actually stopped I bumped right into him. Whoops!

"I wasn't going to ask but what's wrong?" I gave him a blank look followed by a shrug. He huffed.

"Oookay! I won't push it but..." He paused.

"Louis, what is it?" I urged him to continue.

"I know there's no reason to do whatever I say but please be careful from Desmond." His eyes were

urging me to trust him but he didn't know Desmond like I did. I mean they just met today. Right?

Righhht?!!

I was about to complain when Louis pulled me into a nearby closet. "What are you doing?" I whisper

shouted. He put his finger over his mouth making me shut up then pointed at the creak of the door.

Desmond was standing there looking around him making sure no one was there before answering the

call.
