Chapter 41: She Left

\~Mable's POV\~

After Luna and I finished talking we both went our separate ways, though I hope she's going to be

alright.

I was now doing some normal housework. Wiping the windows in the main hall on the second floor of

the main building.

This was one of my favorite tasks that the head maid put on my shoulders.

The work isn't the reason for it to be my favorite it's because I have a good view of the training grounds.

This is also the main vantage point where I can see into Jesse's office.

Right now he seems to be in his office, I could see him writing in a piece of paper, though I couldn't tell

what it said from this distance.

He seemed tired, after writing for a bit, he sat back in his chair.

He then got up and looked out the window, his hand grasping the chairs back.

I waved to him for some reason, probably to get his attention.

I would usually do this when I saw him.

He was quite dreamy, well in my eyes he was.

His rough muscular body, his clean handsome face.

I just couldn't look away, I was caught in a trance.

I stopped what I was doing just staring at him, in a dream-like state.

"Excuse me, Mable, I don't see you working, the days not done yet.!"

The head maid came standing a little away from me and knocked me out of my dream state.

"Oh, I'm sorry ma'am."

My hand quickly got back to wiping the windows clean, my eyes followed her till she left.

Then my eyes went back to Jesse, but he was gone by then.

It was night time, around nine o'clock or so, my work ended a few hours before.

I knew he wouldn't be able to come right after I was let go from work, so I read a book in my room for a

bit.

Then when it was getting to the time he usually got off, I got dressed for our date.

I waited for a while, he usually wasn't this late.

Then I saw him walking quickly towards me, dressed in a casual outfit.

"Mable I'm so sorry I'm late, I had a lot of work to finish."

"It's alright."

"It's not too late so should we get going?"

"Yea, let's."

We walked together, holding hands, and talking to one another.

We walked through the town, till we eventually made it to the place he was talking about.

He said that this place had the best meals in the entire town. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

There weren't many people, he took me to the back, where there was a secluded table.

We sat down and after a minute of waiting for a waitress came by.

He ordered for us, I didn't know what to choose.

We chatted for a bit and the waitress brought out the food.

"Hey, Jesse, I've been meaning to ask you."

He started to fill his face with food.

"What.?"

I giggled at him when he spoke with that stuffed face of his.

"Why do you bring me flowers every day? I'm not saying I dislike it I just want to know why so often."

He swallowed his mouthful of food and said with a sweet and caring tone of voice.

"Well, it gives me an excuse to see you every day."

I blushed heavily, his words are always like that.

"So, now you know, so do you want me to continue bringing you flowers every day or not?"

"I. I do."

-

"So how's Luna been doing? She didn't look too good when I saw her with you."

"She's a little down... but I think once she meets with master Leon she'll perk right up."

"Yea, once he comes back I think she'll be much better."

"What do you mean, when he comes back? Didn't you know she left to go meet master Leon herself?"

His eyes widened and he stood up.

"What! What do you mean she left?"

My voice and attitude went into a meek and hesitant state.

"She left, a couple of hours ago, s."

"And you didn't think to inform me or Thomas.!."

"I'm sorry, I thought you knew. She told me she was leaving, I tried telling her it was dangerous, but she

said she was being escorted, by some guards, so.."

"Well I didn't know, come on we need to stop her.!"

He grabbed my hand, he dropped some payment for the food, and we both rushed out of the

establishment.
