Chapter 1082 Julien Almost Had Caused an Accident

Chapter 1082 Julien Almost Had Caused an Accident

Julien was a man of intelligence, but his intellect was mostly used for business. When it came to relationships, he was not that intelligent.

At least, Sydney didn't think he could tell Luke had feelings for Sean, let alone give advice about their relationship. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

However, today Julien could tell that Luke had feelings for Sean and he even guessed what would happen if they pointed it out.

Sydney couldn't have even imagined this before.

Something must have happened to Julien, which she didn’t know about.

Seeing Sydney have a confused look on her face, Julien lifted his hand against his lips, made a cough, and explained, "I've been reading some books lately so I can tell Luke has feelings for your secretary."

"You were reading some books?" Julien asked, "What kind of books are so amazing?"

"Books about intimate relationships." Julien dropped his hand back on the steering wheel.

Sydney raised her eyebrows. "Why are you reading about intimate relationships?" She was confused.

Julien's eyes twinkled. An embarrassed look appeared on his face. "I came out of a conference room one day and overheard some women talking. They said they liked romantic partners, but their husbands weren't romantic, and so they grew tired of their husbands."

At Julien's answer, Sydney understood. The corners of her mouth twitched. "Are you worried that you're not romantic enough and that I'm going to get tired of you, so you're reading these books to

try to be more romantic?"

Julien's ears reddened slightly at the tips. He stared at the road ahead and replied, calmly, "No."

There was a hint of hesitation in his tone. Obviously, he was lying.

Sydney covered her lips and laughed. "Don't fool me. I know it. How did I not know you were an insecure man?"

Julien looked at her and responded, "Because I lost you once and I don't want to lose you again."

It happened once, and it just might happen again.

Losing her had broken him once. How could he stand to lose her again?

Watching the serious and worried look on Julien's face, Sydney stopped laughing and promised, "Don't worry. I will never leave you again."

She put her hand on Julien's arm to reassure him.

She had never felt any lack of confidence in Julien.

Born into the Flint family, he was already so successful at thirty. He shouldn't be the least bit insecure.

She guessed that Julien should have never had such a feeling in his life.

He should always be superior, confident, and even arrogant. No one would question him because he was Julien Flint.

Yet, he was showing such vulnerability at this moment because he was afraid of losing her.

Sydney felt touched and sour in her heart.

She had turned this domineering man into a normal man.

It was like bringing an angel to earth.

Sydney felt guilty.

She lowered her eyelids to hide the emotions in her eyes from Julien.

If Julien sensed it, he must have panicked. He might even think it was his fault.

Then he'd apologize to her even though he wasn't sure what he'd done wrong.

Sydney laughed at the thought of Julien becoming so nervous because of her.

Looking at Julien, Sydney said seriously, "Take it easy. I will never leave you unless you betray me. Even if other women throw themselves at you, as long as you don't change your mind, I'll always be there for you."

Julien turned on the car's taillights and stopped the car on the road. He unbuckled his seatbelt just as Sydney stared at him in confusion.

"Julien, what are you doing? Why are you parking here? It's dangerous..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Julien leaned over her and held her tightly in his arms. He then kissed her on the lips, as if he was going to spit down the words she hadn't finished.

Sydney froze with wide eyes. She was out of her mind.

She was completely dumbfounded when Julien made such a move.

They were on the highway and there were a lot of cars on the road.

Suddenly pulling off the road could cause a crash.

Soon there was a long line of cars behind them and they started honking their horns.

Sydney snapped back to her senses. She pushed Julien away and looked in the rearview mirror to see if there was an accident.

Sydney would feel so guilty if they caused an accident.

Sydney watched the cars behind them for a while. Fortunately, there was no accident, but there was a long line of cars behind them. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness we didn't cause an accident, or we'd be in trouble and I'd feel guilty." Sydney rolled up the window, patted her chest, and spat at Julien, who was sitting there with a satisfied look on his face as he wiped his thumb across his lips.

Julien dropped his hand and glanced in the rearview mirror.

The cars behind them kept honking, urging them to set off.

The drivers behind them must have been furious. They were mad with Julien for blocking the road.

However, none of the drivers dared to get out of their cars to talk to Julien.

It was obvious that Julien's car was very expensive and he had a special license plate, so no one dared to talk to him. It was a lot of courage for them to honk their horns.

"I turned on the emergency lights before I stopped. If anyone had hit our car, then he would be a crappy driver." Julien said as he started the car.

Their car resumed moving forward. Seeing the Maybach move, the drivers behind him also started his car.

Soon the traffic resumed.

Sydney rolled her eyes at Julien and asked, "What do you mean crappy driver? You suddenly turned on your emergency lights and stopped the car. There were so many cars behind you. Those drivers must be pissed off. Who knows how many of them are new drivers! Experienced drivers can react quickly, but novice drivers probably can't. We were lucky we didn't cause a crash. We can't expect the other drivers to react in time. Don't do this kind of thing again. If there's an accident and people get hurt, we're to blame. And we could have gotten hurt if the car behind us had hit our car when you stopped suddenly."

Sydney's words made Julien realize that she had just been really scared.

He rubbed her head with one hand and apologized, "I'm sorry, I was wrong. I won't do it again."
